Exploring the region
If you have the inclination to slip away from your shaded deck, Elixir Art and its surroundings have plenty to offer. In the elevated massage suite, situated close to Lotus, you can lie high among the greenery and gaze at the view as your tensions are eased and pummelled away. Dip in the infinity pool afterwards, or relax with a good book and a cocktail in the straw-roofed gazebo, with its own jetty into the Mediterranean.
Elixir Art also has a well-appointed guest lounge, complete with plasma TV, plus there is a big screen that can be set up in the courtyard for special events.
Dining
As well as neighbouring Orfoz, there is excellent cuisine nearby; Sardunya at Selimiye is highly recommended for its authentic Turkish cuisine, mezes and seafood, while Minstral at neighbouring Orhaniye is a beach club. Just along the peninsula, the Yacht Club's renowned Lemonade restaurant offers a tempting array of dishes, while the bistro at Karia Belle has a good selection of traditional delicacies. The Yacht Club and Karia Belle will escort you with their own complimentary shuttle boats.
Tours
For a truly unforgettable night out, try Elixir Art's unique Sunset Tour. Our speedboat will whisk you along the coast to Sogut Bay, where you will be met by a car that takes you up the cliff road to the Manzara restaurant. The name means "view", and you will understand its provenance as soon as you take your seats for dinner. The food is great, but the eagle's eye view of the sun slipping below the horizon is stunning, while the moonlit cruise home is equally enthralling.
Treks
Here's the ideal way to enjoy a rural trek. Guided by Asim himself, you take the path to Bozburun, a walk of about 25 minutes. From the cobbled lanes of the village and the charming marina, you walk on along the coastal path to a ruined Roman village. Just beyond is a lovely, secluded beach. The whole trek takes about two hours and involves no more than a few gentle slopes. Best of all, as you relax on the beach, the Elixir Art speedboat cruises to the shore, bringing with it refreshments and taking you on an invigorating five minute sprint back across the bay.
Two-centre holidays
Elixir Art is located close to some of the best of its fellows in the Elixir Turkish Collection. Along the Datca peninsula we have the Mehmet Ali Aga Mansion (now proudly a member of the Relais Chateaux Collection) and Club Select Maris. A two-centre holiday combining either of these properties will introduce you to the charm of this region. Note that Club Select Maris is particularly suitable for families with active children.
Cruises
Add an adventurous dimension to your holiday with an Elixir mini-cruise. Travel between Gocek and Datca aboard a private gulet, with a stop at the picturesque Greek Island of Symi along the way. A three-night cruise is the perfect start to a holiday, with four more nights at Elixir Art.
Complimentary shuttle
The Elixir Art shuttle boat runs between the hotel and the village twice a day, once in the morning, once in the evening. You can arrange for additional trips at times to suit you, but a charge will be applied.
