Given the elevated situation, you may be forgiven for wondering how you get to the beach and the watersports club. Two funicular lifts carry you down the cliffside, a ride providing you with a lovely vista. With lifts in the main building itself, moving around the whole bay presents few challenges even for those with mobility difficulties. If you’re feeling particularly fit – or guilty after another delicious meal – you can take the steps cut into the cliff. There are 182 – believe us, we’ve counted them.

Down at the sea-shore, you can bask on the fine sandy beach – which is pleasantly cooled by the balmy sea breeze – or make your way to the watersports centre across the bay.
